Party of ghosts

Written by Oleg Tyshchenko

I want to give you essential advice. Never, do you hear? Never! Under no circumstances should red Burgundy wine be given to ghosts. Of course, you should not give them red Bordeaux wine, as well as white, pink, or red French, Italian, Spanish, and other wines. But especially do not give them red Burgundy wine. However, let's talk about everything in order.

I got an email with a request to organize a ghost's party two weeks ago. I would be surprised at such a message if I did not know who wrote it. Of course, he has not used this type of communication for a long time, but apparently my friend decided to remember the old days.

Charles and I have known each other for almost twenty years. When the epoch of mobile communication started, we rarely met. I know that my friend started to have a great interest in mysticism three or five years ago. My friend is living in the suburbs of Paris now, but he has a little house in a small town in the Loire Valley. Charles inherited this house from his grandfather. Usually, this house is empty, but sometimes there are many people there. However, the last noisy party was three or four years ago.

I prepared and sent out invitations to various mobile applications for the guests of the upcoming party. Next, I organized food and drink purchases and their delivery to Charles' house.

One more thing to do. I made a white fabric suit with cut holes, but before that, I had thought about an unusual suit for a long time. I do not like that the head is always covered in the ghost costume, so I have decided to make a big removable hood.

I decided to go straight there while wearing my ghost costume. Interestingly, many people were surprised and interested in me when I was in Paris and Orleans, but then no one paid attention to me on the suburban train and in Charles's town. That may be a common thing for them.

I arrived at a small garden surrounded by greenery, all the windows in the room were open, and many candles were lit. Most of the candles were electric light bulbs, but there were original wax candles in one room.

I saw two devils, a dwarf, an unknown person with a magic wand, two or three fairies, a few elves, and a ghost at this party. It was a real spirit, but I was not surprised to see it. Later, one girl in an image of a pixie told me, "I would not have come to this party if I knew yesterday that there was a real ghost here."

Many participants did not pay attention to the ghost because only the pixie and I saw him as he came. We chatted about castles, the Middle Ages, cosmic energy, Parallel Worlds when a belt of white fog appeared from a brick wall. In the beginning, it was a thin rarefied gas. Next, the gas started to condense and the belt began expanding. A couple minutes later, we saw a white ghost in the air. This spirit was dressed in a camisole of the eighteenth or seventeenth century, a bowler hat, wore sneakers, and kept a phantom smartphone.

"Hello," I said to the spirit, "Wonderful, there are two ghosts present at the party."

"Hi, but only one ghost is at the party," he answered. "It is I."

"Why is that?"

"You cannot get through the wall."

"You think so?" I said, "I can do it, but I often lose some things at the wall thus I do not go through walls." Looks like I confused him. Looks like he is missing something too. This explains his strange outfit.

"Well." The spirit agreed. "Let's go have fun."

All the guests ate and drank various delicacies but the ghost did not do it. However, the spirit had another regale. He sniffed an aromatic fume and felt a burst of energy.
