In the museum of old technology

Written by Oleg Tyshchenko

I went to the museum of old technology because I like it. There are many exhibits of antiques from the twentieth century. I am standing now in front of a stand with calculators and typewriters made in the last century.

I am seeing an interesting example. This is a calculator with almost new buttons of digits but the case isn't new.

"I want to know the history of this calculator", I said not loudly. I didn't expect an answer. I was surprised when I received it.

Fairy tale about calculator

The typewriter started to create a message. Both the calculator and the typewriter have been friends for many years. They often talk when no one is in the office. The calculator likes being alone, however, he makes an exception for the typewriter.

The calculator has a problem. He dislikes his buttons being touched because it is ticklish for him. As a result, he says bz-bz-bz. He told his secret to the typewriter: he cannot do math and commits many errors. He made more errors than correct results. In addition, he has a big fear. His fear is calculating fractions. He thinks that he will break once he does it.

"It's an interesting story." I said. "Why is the case old and shabby?"

Fairy tale about calculator. Typewriter

"People stopped using my friend as a calculator," the typewriter typed, "However, they used this device as a small weight. For example, it presses down a single paper or stack of papers. Later, several devices moved to the museum of old technology. As a result, we are exhibits of the museum now."

"Thanks for your time," I said and went to exit the exposition.
